Abstract

A multitemporal analysis of mass wasting of the rotational landslide is generated, located at Km 135 of the 115 CH international route, Paso Pehuenche, in a sector called Monjes Blancos, Maule Region, to determine evolution and monitoring of this geodynamic process. Methodology was applied to determine surface changes based on comparison of Digital Elevation Models (DEM) processed from LIDAR (Light detection and ranging) and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) flights, use of geomatics and field work. The results obtained establish surface movements of landslides greater than one meter, in a range of 20 months, due to the optimal conditions for the generation of these movements as highly saturated soils, steep slopes and topography with anthropic intervention. The results obtained allowed to demonstrate the effectiveness of combining the UAV - LIDAR methods to evaluate geomorphological characteristics and evolutionary process of instability. In addition, a degree of knowledge is obtained for the territorial management of this international route in central Chile.
